What apps come pre-installed on Chechirp Spin?
Chechirp Spin comes with built-in support for Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Audible, AntennaPod, Libby, and BorrowBox. Simply sign in with your existing accounts and make the most of your subscriptions, bringing their favorite music, stories, audiobooks, and podcasts beyond the screen.
Does Chechirp Spin require a phone to play content?
Not at all. All supported apps are built into the device, so once a Vinyl has been set up and linked to a playlist, kids can use Chechirp Spin completely independently and start playback without needing to connect to your phone.
Do I need a membership to use Chechirp Spin?
For Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, and Audible, you’ll need an active membership/subscription to use them with Chechirp Spin.
For Libby and BorrowBox, you only need a valid local library account that can access these services.
Please note that Chechirp itself does not require any subscription fees. You only need to purchase the hardware once and can use it permanently without any additional Chechirp charges.
Can I use Chechirp Spin without Wi-Fi?
When setting up and linking a Vinyl, you’ll need to keep the device connected to Wi-Fi while your selected playlists or content are synced to the device.
Once the Vinyl setup is complete, Chechirp Spin works through offline playback, so kids can use the device independently without needing an internet connection.
Will I hear ads while using Chechirp Spin?
No. Once content has been downloaded to Chechirp Spin, playback is completely interruption-free. There are no pop-ups, notifications, or ads during listening, so you can enjoy your music, audiobooks, and podcasts without distractions.
Will my Chechirp Spin still work if Chechirp is no longer operating?
Yes. Chechirp Spin isn't dependent on our servers. As long as the streaming apps we support are still available—or you upload your own MP3 files—and your device is in working condition, you'll continue to enjoy its full functionality.
